PLANNING SERVICES
WORKING TOGETHER TO ENSURE SUCCESS
The following information outlines the services available for multicultural meetings & conventions from the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau's award-winning Convention Services department, Sales Department and MAC; each working together to ensure your Philadelphia experience will be a memorable, successful and profitable one.
CONVENTION SALES
- Primary contact in the booking process
- Confirm hotel and off-site venue availability
- Prepare bid proposals
- Finalize concession package (where applicable)
- Work closely with the host committee (where applicable) to present bid to boards or site selection committees
- Compile letters of support
- Work with the PCVB Convention Services and MAC to ensure a seamless process
CONVENTION SERVICES
- Primary contact for convention housing & services needs
- Primary contact for promotional booth
- Assists with transportation needs
- Assists with off-site special event logistics
- Coordinates Welcome Program (in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 30th Street station, Philadelphia International Airport and area hotels)
- Assists in securing promotional items/board gifts (where applicable)
- Provides directory of vendor resources
MAC
- Primary contact for outreach to community, political, civic and business communities
- Assists in multicultural volunteer outreach
- Assists with local host committee development
- Assists in locating local multicultural speakers and assisting conference programming committees
- Primary contact for Public Relations/Communications needs
- Provides PR manuals
- Assists in disseminating press releases
- Provide multicultural promotional materials (including photography or videos)
- Assistance in multicultural volunteer press room outreach
- Assist in website promotions
